Brief info
Mr. Doshi has been involved in aviation and airport planning and development in Canada and Internationally for more than 45 years. His experience includes planning for a major airport development project involving airside, terminal, cargo, and groundside developments with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) which operates the Toronto Pearson International airport.
He has been actively involved in the development and application of Operations
Research based analytic tools and simulation models for airport terminal and airside planning. He has managed and participated in airport and aviation projects covering all aspects of the industry. Naren has managed development of Master Plans for Toronto Pearson International Airport, for a proposed airport on the Pickering lands and for Edmonton international Airport including consultations with stakeholders. He has provided airport planning inputs in the design and development of several Canadian airports - Fort McMurray Airport and Spring bank (Calgary) Regional Airport, Alberta.
Internationally, he provided advice to Dubai International Airport’s Strategy and
Development Group for improving development of Airport Performance measures and restructuring of the Planning department and provided airport planning inputs in the design and development for Oman’s RAS International Airport.
He is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He obtained his Master’s degrees in Electrical and Industrial Engineering (Operations Research) from University of Waterloo and University of Toronto in Canada. Currently he is an teaching Airport Planning and Engineering course in the Cities, Infrastructure and Management Program, Civil Engineering at University of Toronto . Previously he taught course on Airport Planning and Operations at Seneca’s School of Aviation and Flight Technology (Toronto).
